Gallery 1022 - Early morning, Derwentwater, Lake District
Derwentwater, near Kewswick, is surrounded by the Lake District Fells. These hills provide protection from the wind and if you are lucky enough to on the shores of the lake as the sun rises then you are in for a scenic treat. Taken in late Autumn these images are typical of a good morning beside the lake. Often the surface is almost totally still, only spoiled when the small ferry crosses the lake.
