Gallery 1053 - Narrow Gauge Steam from Mari Indus - part 2
The narrow gauge railway from Mari Indus ran to the junction of Laki Marwat. From here a branches led to Bannu Tank. At the time of this visit there were still regular service trains operating over the whole system although by this stage there was virtually no freight traffic. These images were taken when a special passenger train was being operated with Laki Marwat seeing 3 locos at once - something it had not witnessed for many years. What was more remarkable was the three locos were from the three remaining types in active service.
