Gallery 1067 - Hong Kong - Causeway Bay Street Market - Part 2
The street markets of Hong Kong are many and varied selling just about everything possible. These scenes were taken with available light in the small street market close to the glitzy shopping mall of Times Square in Causeway Bay (Hong Kong Island). The contrast could not have been greater. With the accent on fresh produce many of the fish are live and stored in tanks. The fruit and vegetables are all beautifully displayed and tempt the buyer to make a purchase. The butchers stalls are gory with flashing blades of meat cleavers adding to the scene.
