Gallery 1061 - Narrow Gauge Steam from Mari Indus - part 2

The narrow gauge railway from Mari Indus ran to the junction of Laki Marwat. From here a branches led to Bannu Tank. This essay focuses on activity at Mari Indus Loco Shed. However road transportwas used to cross the River Indus to phorograph the daily passenger train arriving from Laki Marwat in the late afternoon. At the time of this visit the regular service trains operated over the whole system with considerable passenger numbers. However freight traffic had dwindled to almost nothing. The loco shed is interesting as there are many engines under repair (more than those active).
